So close....

As I sit here working on a whiter smile (thanks, Crest WhiteStrips!), I thought I'd bring everyone up to date as you're all about to embark on your trip Southward!

First of all, no need to thank me for saving you from the Nor'Easter that's about to hit the Northeast. Really, you're welcome!!! Instead of spending the weekend with torrential rains, you'll be hanging out in 70 degree, sunshine-y weather (according to AccuWeather). So enjoy!

I've had a few mini-meltdowns over the past few days. At one point, as Bryan slept and I tied tiny bows on our escort card/favor combo, I went into my, "No one helps me..." diatribe. Of course we all know this isn't true as I've gotten plenty of help especially from the women in my life. But Bryan had a nice lazy Sunday while I slaved away making sure all details were perfect.

I'm just gonna throw it out there. They're not - perfect, that is. I'm sure if I don't point certain things out, you won't notice them. But if you ask me throughout the course of the night, you'll hear this, "Yeah, I ran out of that kind of ribbon, so I used this" or "I was getting tired of tying" or "They weren't sitting the way I wanted them to, so I used tape."

I've done my best and I hope you enjoy. Bryan did eventually wake up to hear me talking to Maggie about all of the other things I had to get done. Thank you gifts, thank you cards, re-doing some of the escort cards that I messed up by punching a hole too close to the end, trying to get pretty, printing up the guest letters and itineraries that go in the welcome bags, putting the welcome bags together (we did go shopping for them on Saturday!), calling the DJ, arranging the tables, re-sizing the table cards (I didn't like the way they printed)....and the list goes on.

Oh, and did I mention I am working this week? I now understand why people take off the week of the wedding. Bryan even has off on Tuesday and crazy me is going into work (I'm going to try to go in SUPER early to finish things up) then I have to tutor Tuesday night.

My future M.I.L. got into town on Sunday, but I didn't get to see her and her close friend Linda (who had driven down with her) until tonight. They got a sneak peek at some things - but there are plenty of surprises still in store!

Bryan stated his intention to finish the welcome bags - then promptly fell asleep watching football.

I, my friends, am going to do the same although I've eaten enough Ghiradelli brownies to keep me awake for awhile longer.

The to-do list is almost done! I've got a few more gifts to get, thank you cards to write, a stop payment to put on a money order (that's a story for another time - oy!), one more escort card that I forgot to re-print today, and that's it!!!! Then it's PARTY TIME!!!!

I'll probably write at least one more update on Wednesday or Thursday to disclose some details about the day-of itinerary, then I'll try to follow-up Saturday with a post-wedding review if I have time. We're almost there!!!! Everyone that is travelling, please travel safely and I will see you soon!!! Readers, prepare for pictures in just a few short days!!!
