Band of Happiness

Bryan is holding pictures from The Crowley Wedding and The Berg Wedding hostage! So I'm sorry to have ditched out on posting the last few days, but I've had no pictures to work with as promised! The past few days have been a whirlwind, though. At work, we've been getting ready for the start of classes on Monday. Since it's my first semester I am completely paranoid that I've forgotten to do something, that we won't have enough of something, or that some of the TAs are not going to show up to teach their classes (they seem more responsible than this, but you never know!).

Anyways, I am excited to share that Bryan and I went to the jeweler's today and selected my wedding band! I had an idea of what I wanted, Bryan had originally told me no - that I was getting just a slab of metal - but today, he decided to have exactly the ring I want made! I'm super happy about it!!! Although I'm wondering if when we get the ring, is it bad luck to try it on before the wedding day?

I have 539 thank you cards to write to those who came/sent gifts to the Buffalo shower. I have not forgotten you, but I did forget the list of who gave me what in Buffalo (luckily, I do remember 9 of the presents) but for some of the individuals that I met that day, while I remember faces and names, I don't remember which gifts went with which faces and which names. I've put Bryan in charge of getting the official list from my future-M.I.L., so as you can assume, I have not gotten a list yet. Speaking of showers, our 4th and final shower of our engagement is taking place this evening and is being hosted by the lovely Mary Beth and Sonia. This is a couples shower and is going to be a great time, I'm really looking forward to it.

Bryan is still looking at houses from week-to-week in his spare time. In my spare time, I work. In fact, I just received word today that the center wants me to tutor 18 hours a week (this is in addition to my 40 hr/week job). Assuming my head doesn't explode, this is good news for our wedding funds, but bad news for my sanity. But Bryan is using the time productively and has even mentioned booking our honeymoon possibly tomorrow!

I'm off to get ready for our big night. We have lots more to do today given that I spent the last few hours snoozing after getting back from tutoring this morning. My assignment at the current moment is to find our second reading for our ceremony (next week, I'm going to pick out our programs with La Belle Weddings!). We've got our readers (Bryan's Aunt Deb and my Aunt Barbara) and one reading, so we need just one more. In the coming weeks, I'll reveal the significance of the first reading that has been selected. And in just a few short weeks, I'll be in Philadelphia for my final fitting! But until then, keep those RSVPs coming! We're up to 45 confirmed guests!!
