Mama, I'm coming home!

Happy Birthday to me from the friendly skies! Yes, I'm blogging on my flight home; yes, I realize it costs $10 for the internet on the plane; yes, my battery has about 40 minutes of life left to it, but that's ok! It's my birthday!

On that note, it did cost $10 to get the internet up here; so I'd better deliver the goods with this blog.

This week was an interesting one. I had my first bad day at work yesterday, causing me to be extremely stressed out and tired at my birthday dinner with Bryan last night. We didn't get to dinner until about 9pm and I just couldn't seem to relax. I'm hoping this translates into Bryan taking me out for another birthday dinner where I've got time to unwind beforehand (somehow I don't think he'll agree to that one). The problem was I forced the issue. Bryan asked if I wanted to go out or if I wanted to stay in. Mentally, I wanted to go out; physically, I should've told him to just have some Chinese food and wine ready for me when I got home. Instead, we went to an upscale steakhouse and I realized I was physically too tired to eat. And no, that's never happened before.

Another reason for celebration last night is that it was the 3-year anniversary of the day Bryan and I officially met. Today would be the 3-year anniversary of our first phone call. Yes, I commemorate things like this. Although I do have it somewhat easy since the whole event surrounded my birthday. Speaking of my birthday, I have to say, with all the wedding stuff going on I haven't been as obnoxious as usual. However, I'd like it to be known that I am (and have been) thinking about what I want to do for my 30th. I've thrown out the possibility of some fantastic trip, but I've been thinking 90's party for awhile also. I guess I have a year to work this all out, but if you find your flannel, keep it on hand.

There are plenty of wedding-related things that got done this week. The programs are off and have been ordered, the favors have been ordered (hint: it's something that's distinctly Georgia), our seating chart has been finalized (so if you don't like who you're sitting with at this point, sorry, you're stuck!) and tomorrow marks my final dress fitting.

Tonight's birthday festivities include dinner out with my parents, brother, and Bridesmaid Melissa. Then we're off to some place called Duffer's to watch a friend of my brother's band play. I've invited some of my nearest and dearest that live in the area along, so it should be a fun night!

After the final dress fitting, there's something really fun that I'm working on with my parents for the Big Day. And apparently the M.O.B. has put together a list of things that we still need for the wedding. We have 28 days to go and I think everything's pretty under control. I haven't had a Bridezilla attack in a few weeks although according to schedule, I may have one next week. I'm getting really excited for the honeymoon though as I could really use some relaxation time after the past few months.

Well, I will write a follow-up blog tomorrow to my last dress fitting. Here's to hoping there's no armpit fat on the horizon!
