Blogger and I are at war (meaning the website that allows me to post - not another blogger and I - that would be lame). I wrote an entire blog last night about our Engagement photos along with the pictures and when I went to post, the website decided it was "not allowed". I don't know why, but it was just not in a good mood...which then put me in a foul mood...which was quickly alleviated by, what else, a Reese's Peanut Butter Egg!
Ok, so maybe I was a little more anxious to see these pictures than the masses that read this blog, but I am really happy to unveil them. These are the first 10 we have seen of what promises to be an amazing collection of photos. Caroline and Matt are incredible photographers and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone. In fact, if you're interested, here is their website: www.onesixphotography.com and you can always become a fan on Facebook - this will give you special access to the sneak peeks of our session as soon as they are posted!!
Of course I'll give you my running commentary as we go, but please feel free to leave comments with your own opinions.
The first picture at the top I think is just so cute. I had always wondered what engagement session were like. Are people told what to do and how to move? But basically the whole thing was us just being really natural.
To the left is a shot that I love because of where it was taken. I had mentioned that the three locations we visited would be revealed as we posted the sneak peek photos, so I can tell you now that this first location is a park in Dunwoody called Brook Run. It's a really large and gorgeous place with lots of areas for picnics, hiking, for kids to play, and there's a dog park there. This picture is actually the back of the concrete sign at the entrance to the park. It's a place I never would think to take a picture or have my picture taken, and I think it came out great!
Below is a "jump shot" - not to be confused with the kind you take during a basketball game. I've never been big on jump shots, but this one is pretty cute. Especially since, for whatever reason, Bryan and I are looking at each other. Usually I think people look at the camera. I think it was because we counted down to the jump and we were looking at each other during that.

Since we've seen these pictures, Bryan wants me to publicly proclaim the fact that he can, in fact, jump higher than I can. Just ignore the fact that I'm wearing sandals and he's wearing sneakers...I feel a rematch coming on in the future...

I love all of the pictures by the dogwoods. This is something I do truly love about Georgia in the springtime. The one to the left is really pretty in an artistic way, in my opinion (given I know nothing about art or photography). But I love the effect of the flowers of the dogwoods being in the front of the picture and us kissing under a canopy of trees.
The one below, I am actually not posing (even though it sort of looks like I am!)! I was really self-conscious of how I was walking though (can you tell? I've got a little bit of that Demi Moore-hip-throw going on). But I like this picture, again, because the trees look so incredible.

This next picture is just cheesy me being cheesy. After walking and goofing off by striking all sorts of ridiculous poses, I figured let's go simple, "Give me a hug, baby!!!"

This one is one of my favorites. I love how Bryan is looking at me in this picture.
And below, one of the many gorgeous pinecones that I found in the park!!! If I can use this image somehow in our invitations, I will do it, gosh darnit!!! It's the perfect pinecone!!!

These next two are our favorites. The one to the left has the title of Bryan's favorite (and his Mom's as well). I do love this picture because of the sun and that incredible blue sky. It really was that gorgeous out, we were so lucky!! The motivation behind this picture was the fact that I felt like in every picture Bryan was holding me, lifting me, leading me. I wanted to take care of my man, too, and show him some love! So I got behind him and gave him a big smooch on the cheek.

This last one is my favorite. Those trees!! That kiss!!! Love it!!!
For Bryan and I, this session was definitely worth the wait. I can't wait to see the sneak peeks from the next two locations! Caroline and Matt went above and beyond for us driving all over Atlanta to our favorite places. I think these pictures are an indication that the wedding photos are going to be absolutely gorgeous.
Check back for another update this week regarding our first official house hunting trip! And I'll fill you in on what's to come in the next week or so. Some really great things are in store over the next week and a half and I'm so excited. Event #1: Megan Greene is getting married!!!!
These pictures are amazing! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melissa!!!
